A Relationship Built on Compassion

Our connection with Greenwood Women Care began last year in a powerful way. Through their generosity, they funded a Compassion Fatigue retreat at the farm—an experience that opened the door for corporate teams to step away from daily pressures and focus on resilience training.

Those retreats created space for staff to recharge, combat burnout, and reconnect with the purpose behind their work. After experiencing the farm firsthand, the Greenwood Women Care team wanted to learn more about what happens here—and that curiosity led to this upcoming visit.

Being chosen to host their May meeting is something we don’t take lightly. It’s an honor that reflects a shared commitment to supporting people who spend their lives caring for others.

What’s Planned for May 12th

We’ve designed a one-hour program that offers a meaningful glimpse into the heart of the farm:

  • Farm Vision & Stories
Led by Tammie Price, this portion will include a guided tour and personal stories that highlight the lives impacted through the work being done here.

  • Hands-On Gardening Class
Richard Escoe (Rick) will lead a short, interactive gardening session—giving guests a chance to connect with the land in a practical, engaging way.

  • Equine Demonstration
We’ll take a brief walk to meet the horses and share how they play a role in emotional growth, connection, and healing.

  • Virtual Nature Trail Experience
While time won’t allow for a full trail walk, we’ll present a visual journey through the nature trail, along with insight into the right-brain development principles woven into everything we do.

A Special Partnership

This event has come together through thoughtful collaboration. Erica Ferry has been instrumental in coordinating the details, and we recently had the pleasure of hosting Karen Smith and Bobby Fulton for a planning visit.

Their reaction to the farm echoed something we hear often: there’s a unique sense of peace and purpose here that’s difficult to describe—you simply have to experience it.

That visit also sparked new ideas, including the possibility of future group tours. We’re especially excited about conversations about hosting a visit for the Grand Harbor community to further expand the impact of these connections.

Greenwood Women Care will be providing catering for the evening, while we handle the setup and program—making this a true partnership in every sense.

Looking Ahead

As May 12th approaches, we’re filled with anticipation and gratitude. Opportunities like this remind us why this work matters—creating spaces where people can reconnect, recharge, and rediscover purpose.

We can’t wait to welcome these incredible women to the farm.

Stay tuned—we’ll be sharing photos and highlights after the event!

With Gratitude,

Tammie Price
